Clearly a dismal state of affairs. When the time comes to collect my car, I will not take delivery - or pay for it - if the issue exists.

Are we any closer to understanding what's causing this. Faulty parts, mis-assembly, an "unlucky" mix of manufacturing tolerances or a design problem?

I recently read in a motoring magazine that a new consumer law has been introduced during the last few weeks, where if you buy a new car and find that it is faulty then the dealer only has one attempt to fix the problem. After this one attempt you can reject the car and get either a new vehicle or full refund.

This site is independent from what I gather. Whilst there may be LR reps that drop by, I wouldn't regard it as an official channel. Thats not to say all of us are not very interested in your tale and the outcome. I think we all are. Tales like this do influence people's buying decisions and it is foolish of LR not to have addressed it IMO. |

I believe from a previous post that JLR customer services have been in contact. What do you expect them to add here? |

Errrrr.....maybe a confirmation that JLR are now fully aware of the problem and possibly a recall for all the £80,000 cars that they have sold being fully aware of the problem....

If LR do recall, they will richly deserve the bill of doing so. Time and again, it's been shown that it's better to face up to such problems early than adopt a head-in-the-sand attitude of denial.

I echo what Pete's said above, he cannot read every forum thread here to pick up on issues, if you feel you need assistance then use the LR customer relation forum at http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/land-rover-...-vf35.html and/or send him a PM.
