How can I use the 'Quote' function from the last post as it appears in every post except the last one?

There is no need to repeat what the person immediately above your post has said, the quote buttons there for prior posts, that might be further up the thread

Look at it this way, in the pub, you don't repeat what your mates just said then answer him, same on here, unless your faced

If you must quote a portion of the immediately previous post then you can do so by clicking the Quote button, copy and pasting some text from the previous post and then clicking the Quote* button.

As npinks says, though, you shouldn't usually need to do so. Mass quoting is a pain in the arse to follow once the thread develops...

You may just wish to highlight part of a post for clarity, I see why the question. Most forum software offers this.

It can be done manually like this:

insert name wrote:

words here

Which gives you this:

Be sure to use the double quotes around the name.
