Agh! My fridge wont light up - just in time for summer :(

Any ideas where to start on recovering the fridge? I checked it worked when buying it, but it is N.Ireland, never a need to chill anything as its always cold. Until today Sad

I have a nice stack of fillet steaks in mine here in France that will be coming home with me tomorrow, nicely chilled.

Sorry....... only this afternoon I was countering my wife's assertions that the car was a nail because we just had to fix the AC and next week the compressor at almost a grand for the pair by saying "yes, but look at this super fridge that all these yummy steaks are packed in."

Silly question maybe, have you checked the fuses?

The car has an energy management system and if it detects that the battery charge is below a threshold value certain systems are disabled until the alternator has restored charge. The fridge, sound system and screen heaters are among the systems that can be disabled. So check the fridge again during a run and you'll probably find it is working. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Another silly question, have you checked it's working??

In my case the led on the switch doesn't work but the fridge itself cools down nicely as per the manual after the engine has been on a while...

Cheers

lol - I've not actually checked, but the light did go on green when I had it at first, but I'll go test that now, makes sense if I've had all the electric wasted Wink Will try that too with a decent run. Thumbs Up

Don't know why but I think my led was blue when fridge was on. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

Agree Simple1 I think it's meant to be blue.

I found this switch which should fit, if it's only the switch led that has failed. I'll let you know if it works:

great news, it works again! I was wrong about the green led - it was blue!
I'm all happy now, was it possible the black plastic top was round the wrong way or does it work indefinitely?
