just courtesy, how many times do you wave at a car that stops to let you through a gap when its your right of way anyway? |

you MUST give way when a pedestrian has moved onto a crossing, ergo, you don't have to if they are standing waiting to cross......

Its nice to be nice, when im a walking at a crossing i always wave a "thankyou", the same way i thank waiters etc for doing their jobs....
