I have an RRS 2014 Corus Grey autobiography - with every available extra!!

I love the car, However The illuminated side steps and the interior light failed to activate / deactivate when the Doors opened / closed.

Then got warning signs for suspension and Blind spot errors on dash.

Got Phone call today saying that the drivers seat needs to be removed to access a wiring loom that may be at fault.

Supposedly getting car back tomorrow - will keep you updated

Anyone else had electrical problems?

the same thing randomly happened to mine a couple of weeks ago.

It's a big problem with modern cars. Due to amount of electrics in them and how many of the systems are interlinked, unlike old cars where it was easy to isolate the exact problem as each electrical component had no bearing on any other.

I'm sure when they access the wiring loom it will end up being something as simple as a faulty connection which can be due to a broken pin not spotted on build but has slowly vibrated out not place to break connection completely or something just as minor. As I said, because of systems being interlinked if one wire / connection has broken, it can affect many.

I wouldn't worry at this point, fingers crossed for you though

Hey guys get this - apparently if you hold the light button (touch panel in overhead console ) for three seconds it switches off the interior welcome interior lights !! My dealer was not aware of this nor is it in the manual !!!

So no electrical fault so far - the other errors have cleared so back to normal -

Fairly sure new cars come with a book. Some call the book a manual although that does sound quite official. Apparently, in this book (or manual) there is a lot of advice and information about how the car is operated.

Sounds like a fair story to me but lots of people swear it's true! 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

there was a recall for trapped loom problem under drivers seats

It is in the manual actually. Saw it today as my courtesy lights stopped working and it tells you to reset them hold your finger on the centre light for twenty seconds until it flashes and they will be reset! SDV6 HSE Sport2 - Santorini Black, Ebony Interior, Pano Roof, Things I haven't found yet!

TDV6 HSE, Java Black, Black Premium Leather, Privacy, LR Side Steps, Smoked Side Repeaters, SC Vents and lots of toys!

Yea, don't read manuals and even the dealers did not pic that one up !!L
