Land Rover sell an interface unit to do exactly this. It's available from all main dealers but I got a much better deal from the USA.

No idea...I never tried. I once used the glove box lead with a USB full of tunes and thats the only time I ever used it. Ra-Ro Sport Super Dooper Charged.

Apple do the 30 pin to lightning connector, got mine from PC World. This is how mine is connected in my 2005 SC 2006 RRS SC Bonatti Grey (the 55th car/van I have owned)

I too want to connect iPhone 5 to play music but don't have any cable. Will I need to buy the original LR 30pin cable and then buy the 30pin to lightening adapter?
