United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Cairns Blue

I went for the lowering arms rather than the electronic unit. Also seems to work well and don't get any errors.
2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱
Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

I'd go for it's big brother the IIDTool. It has the EAS functionality but also gives access to other systems on the RRS. WOrks well and I reckon you'd get one for not much more than the cost of the EAS tool. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged HSE Santorini Black

The full IID is around £100 more, but gives the option to update various modules, as well as CCF editing, read/clear fault codes, service reset etc

Well worth the investment IMHO Thumbs Up

I found it cheaper on this site for my model but not sure if this is the case for yours.

I have the Bluetooth one and it has pretty much paid for itself already. No interest in lowering but I have used it to:
1. Enable remote park heating in the CCF (saving the money I would have paid someone to do it)
2. Set TTM before alignment (saving main dealer geometry setup cost twice a year)
3. Read a fault code to confirm a problem I wasn't sure existed and was hard to demonstrate. It was then easy getting the dealer to fix it

Hi fkarim, Could you please clarify "set TTM before alignment"? Why would this save dealer costs twice a year? Forgive my ignorance but I am trying to learn these things before I pick the car up next week.

myfirstrrs: The Sport's suspension needs to be put in tight tolerance mode (TTM) before wheel alignment. This helps in setting up the geometry more accurately as the air suspension works harder than normal (less tolerant to height differences between the 4 corners) to keep the car level.

Main dealers tend to charge quite a lot for alignment compared to my local competent and knowledgeable tyre place with a Hunter machine. The alignment place doesn't have a tool to put the car in TTM though and this is where my IIDTool came in handy. I plan to get the car aligned at least twice a year.

By the way the EAS Control unit may also be capable of setting up TTM and not just the IIDTool. I just don't know.

Thanks fkarim, sounds like I should try to get the dealer to do this before I collect the car, at least to know that it is right to start with.

Thumbs Up
