Not too sure where all this confusion comes from? Land Rover make different models and call them different names.

It's just all the swap back again to the Land Rover brand , so they can get ready for the 2015-16 MY changes when the whole brand changes to " Tata "

There is a reason why you get Land Rover and Range Rover and the move back to Land Rover. Firstly - they are all Land Rovers. Years ago, a decision was taken to split the Land Rovers into Land Rover and Range Rover as two distinct products within the brand there were a number of reasons for this - namely the increase of models and the image of RR v LR. Remember the use of the black LR badge The move is to move them all within the family of "Land Rover" (being part of JLR), so you get Discovery, Range Rover etc...but they are still Land Rovers. Which is why you have started to see the Land Rover wording going off the bonnet. What seems chop and change to you/us - isn't, its actually because all the vehicles are at different stages in their development/modification cycle so it not only takes time, but some massive logisitics to get new bonnet lettering for cars or updated firmware etc. Then to coordinate that across the dealer network. So actually there are reasons behind it...its just takes time and is complicated. Mike 2014 Facelift Discovery |
