i thought the Evoque was a RR, it says it is on the website Just do what most people do, press the start button, close your eyes and grit your teeth and hope it starts anyway that way the logo will be off the screen or a christmas tree of colour |

I don't see any problem with the logo, in fact I prefer it than the cheap looking RR one. It's a Land Rover, it should have Land Rover on the screen! Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more...

Yeah, a lot of people have no problem with it. And there are plenty that dislike it intensely.

Yes I agree, there should be an option, but personally, I don't see the point in worrying about it.

I'm not going to lose sleep over it Chris but just seems like confused marketing/design to me.

BMW, like some other brands, are subject to coding. A black art of hooking up a laptop to your vehicle to achieve customisation;

I think they're in a branding mess and muddling their way through. Mixing the Land Rover and Range Rover branding makes no sense and I agree the Land Rover logo is looking very tired like that of Ford and Boots. Much better to think of Range Rover as a separate brand like Jaguar.

3 years ago the brands were being broken up and there was only going to be one Range Rover over the rest Land Rover, seems like last year that decision has totally been changed even L405 that started out with RR badges now has LR all over the place inc the screen and centre screen, a mistake IMO they should have kept to idea N0 1 everyone knows it's a LR regardless. The Evoque should have also been under the LR badge as this as really a freelander in drag a little like the old sport was a Disco in drag. 2014 5.0SC AB

On that basis, the original RRS should have been called a Land Rover Sport then! For those with new RRS, do the wheel centres say RR or LR? The Evoque and FL are built on the same line in Halewood, one after the other and it's easy to recognise the floor pan of an Evoque (before the sides go on and give the same away) because the centre tunnel rises rather higher in the Evoque with extra strength steel clearly visible to make the Evoque stiffer. The robots recognise which are they are working on automatically and things like the closures are made on dedicated feeder lines with different colour robots, the Evoque robots being a set of refurbished robots from the Jaguar X-type (rehashed Mondeo) days.
