If you remove the cat then it will fail its mot, and if vosa catch you without it fitted they will impound your car and give you a hefty fine. Remap is the only way to go. See site sponsor BAS here. http://bellautoservices.co.uk/ |

If he does Daz, then that could be his downfall should he get tugged. His signature on his own mot certificate. |

Granted true but a test certificate is only a true record of the vehicle on that given time and date.

There's nothing to stop you MOTing your own cars, been doing mine for years, don't have a choice as I'm the only tester/mech in the garage. The boss lets me do them for free so I'm not going to go somewhere else and pay £50 for someone else to do it 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current

I agree, but my point is, as you know what the mot standards are and you deliberately break the law as in Scott's case, he intends to, should he get caught, and then vosa find out who mot'd his car, it will open a can of worms at the mot station where he works and then questions get asked what else is slipping through the net at this particular mot station. I guess he is running one of the so called "friendly" mot stations that vosa are clamping down on. |
