I eventually got the rear differential replaced (at 15,000km) about 3 months ago under warranty (2 years of effort for Landrover to agree there was a problem). The drive train shunt is 90% gone but the gearchanges are now very harsh (straight away after picking up the car with the new diff installed it was noticable) and especially especially so when the lockup clutch engages or dissengages. You can't win. You wonder what the dealer did. |
