tf9,
Don't bother with the Overfinch exhaust. Go for the JE system (see my gallery and MDP's and Josh's) We all have the JE system fitted and it is excellent.
If you go for the full cats back system, it is straightforward to fit yourself.
Cheers
Paul

United States 2006 Range Rover Sport 4.4 V8 HSE Chawton White

Can't compare to to any other manufacturer, but the Overfinch system sounds awesome under acceleration with my 4.4 liter normally aspirated gas engine, but as quiet as stock at cruising speed. It adds a nominal 20 horses to your bottom line, so don't expect huge performance gains in the real world, although it "feels" like you are accelerating a lot faster, it must be that fantastic snarl/roar you hear playing with your brain... Wink I really did it for the looks of the oval pipes, which I think are sized, shaped and angled just right, not too small but not too obnoxious, and the sweet sound. I got the full system, sport cats included. The system does look easy enough for an experienced do-it-yourselfer to put on, but I am not one of those and had it installed by a friend of Mark @ Overfinch USA here in Los Angeles.

I paid a bit less than what you were quoted (considering the Euro/US$ exch. rate), but not a lot less... Overfinch mods are very expensive, the tail pipes alone (both ovals or quads) ar around $700 here, just the friggin' tails! There are definitely cheaper solutions out there, whether you are looking for a full cats system or just better looking pipes. But, you get what you pay for with Overfinch. All the stuff I have seen from them so far (even stuff I decided not to buy because of the outrageous prices) has been of the highest quality.

I posted some pictures of the system, before and after installation, under my gallery. No sound, unfortunately. Wink

JE Engineering would always be able to ship a system out to you - then you could get it fitted anywhere Confused

What parts does JE exhaust include? It's just sound or some power increase as well? 2014 Mercedes-Benz S500

Any claims for measurable power increases just by changing the exhaust are at best dubious. There are so many other facters on modern engines that have a bearing, it is doubtful that any exhaust on its own would result in a marked improvement.
However, taken in conjunction with other work, i.e. chipping, the benefits can be significant.
Your Supercharged RRS has a torque limiter that cuts power if it goes over the factory specified limit. You can do all you want to your engine, but you won't get any more power unless you overcome the limiter.
At this point, the JE system is a cats back system in a larger diameter polished stainless steel pipe, although they are working on a freer flowing cat as well. The tail-pipes are either twin-round (4 outlets) or large oval tailpipes (2 outlets). The larger diameter and freer flowing silencer does give a much improved exhaust note.
JE do have a dealer in Germany if that is any better for you.
I recommend you give them a call and discuss your requirements.
Regards,
Paul

for a good example of what an exhaust is - check out my gallery here http://www.rrsport.co.uk/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=201

JE Engineering = Perfect fit for the Supercharged + sounds great.

As soon as JE can offer a marked improvement over the standard cats - I will be straight back to get fitted.

Jay ...

My pipework is all new.....Got everything from the TIPS going up to the Main catalytic converter - as this is a major expense of any system - and since there was no gain = why pay for it?

However JE are developing " In House " their own catalytic converter - when this is ready I will return to have it fitted. The actual supplier of the original system is by Larini = http://www.larinisystems.com/ but JE were not happy with their cat = so developement work is being carried out as we speak.

So far for Qulaity & Look they get 10/10 Thumbs Up
