Hello,

I need the chassis number for some paperwork. My dealer claims that it will not be available until after production. With other brands I've had the chassis number well in advance. Has anybody managed to get it before or during production?
I fear that if I only get it after production I'll have some problems...

I have the build line print out cards for my car, got all the bar codes on telling production line what to fit onto car, and the chassis number is right at the top of it, so chassis number is allocated to build slot before car is built if that helps. 5.0 Ltr Superchrged RRS2, Chile Red, Sideways out of junctions!

Very helpful indeed. This is more or less what I suspected. Just another example of the lack of responsiveness of some dealers...
I guess I'd get a better treatment if buying a Skoda or alike.
