2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Santorini Black
2014 RRS MPG - Real World

Hi Guy's I am interested in real world mpg for the 2014 model, I know there are not many around still but it would be good to establish what sort of fuel economy people are getting compared to the previous model Thumbs Up

I have had mine since August 7th, HSE Dynamic with std 21 inch wheels, 15 weeks or so and have done 4200 miles. I would say that with careful mixed driving I get near the claimed 38mpg.

Yesterday I had a meeting at Sandbach services on the M6 and had a round trip of 527.7 miles from Edinburgh to J16 (to turn round).

I had 2 lots of traffic jams, 20 mins on M8 15 miles into the journey ( just volume of traffic as far as I could see) and 45 mins over 4 miles somewhere North of Penrith (lorry shed it's load) on the way back.

10.5 hrs in car at average 69mph. Temperatures varied from -5C in the morning to 9C in afternoon.

Computer showed average of 40.1 for the return trip, most of the driving time spent at 75mph on cruise control. I was pleased overall, what do others think, should it have been higher Embarassed or is this a significant enough improvement as would be expected for the new generation of car Bow down

What are your thoughts, views from owners of all models pre and post would be good MY 2014 HSE Dynamic
MY 2012 RRS HSE
2009 Audi A6 Avant- superb quality but boring never missed
2007 Q7 -loved it but not a patch on RRS
Various BMW's, Audis
199 TD5 Disco XS, great car big improvement on previous Disco
1981 Fiat Mirafiori Sport 2000 TC - Bright Orange and Black, great Car when new but soon deteriorated, those were the days

I have been getting 32mpg on a mix of B roads, town and short stretches of dual carriageway.

I will be driving to Plymouth and back over Christmas, where I hope to be getting mpg in the late 30's

38.7mpg - per trip computer - over my first 3,035 miles. Includes a fair bit of motorway commute from Shropshire to Manchester, typically at 75 - 80 mph. I used to get 39.8 out of my previous BMW 335d (albeit driven faster😀) so I'm pretty pleased with the RRS (HSE, 22s, pano, Marianna, Ebony with Cirrus & Ebony seats).

I have been using the 'Stop-Start' feature, which does take a little bit if getting used to.

Hi. picked mine up from swansea & reset the trip etc as I hit the motorway, drove VERY steadily back up to Lancashire & at the end of the trip showed 47.2mpg which amazed me. Never went over 75 mph & for quite a few miles down to 50 mph in road works. Since then have racked up approx. 900 miles with a mixture of motorway & town driving & the average is steadily dropping down, now at 39.5 mpg . No doubt this will continue to drop slightly, but over all more than happy with the consumption & WHAT a car to drive, far superior to the X6 I had previously.

I've not seen anything over 32mpg in my SDV6. Mostly longish motorway/A-road driving. I guess I'm just not a particularly efficient driver compared to others on here - either that or it's due to my normal start up procedure is to turn off the Start/Stop!

Sweden 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Santorini Black

Eco-Mode off.

Been driving from Sweden through Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and from Hull to Isle of Skye.

Average speed is 105 km/h... Average MPG is 22. I'm really impressed by this, because I drive like a car thief, my old 2011 Jaguar XF S Portfolio also had a consumption around 22 MPG. Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Dynamic -14
