Guys, I told you - always look down on your luck, don't shave or shower, wear old dirty clothes, plead poverty and tell them about all the problems in your life. Magistrates are TOLD during their training to always be lenient with the less fortunate members of society and to be far less tolerant with clean washed middle class folk who should know better.

This was one of the reasons I walked away from becoming a Magistrate a couple of years ago. Why do you think that you constantly read about burgers who have committed 20+ offences walking free from Court?
