Parking sensor inactive.....

Hey guys!

Can anyone give me a "heads up" on possible reasons why my front parking sensors are suddenly giving me a fast high pitched beep and an "inactive" message?

I've done a visual check and can't see any damage.

Is there something I can check?

Many thanks,

Gaz.

Sounds like a sensor has failed - they don't last forever & are battered daily by the elements Big Cry 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

I had mine read by a diagnostics tool - pinpointed the exact sensor that was out - it may be a loose wire or connector - unfortunately it's a bumper off job, which is easy if your that way inclined. The only problem is the fasteners underneath become a little brittle over time & tend to break.
If you need new sensors let me know Whistle 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Thanks again dude.
Taking bumpers off scare me a little as I'm paranoid I may screw something up!
It's the most expensive car we've owned....my missus would ballistic!
I'll Google and YouTube removing a bumper to see if someone has done a step guide.
I'll clean them first and see if it's that.
May take you up on the sensor!

Gaz.

Here you go - Thumbs Up

It's not hard but can be a bit scary on an expensive motor - I won't go near the wife's VW Polo but will take my Sport apart weekly Laughing 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Hi mate. Easy way to find the faulty sensor is sit in car engine running foot on brake obviously and activate the sensors is be close enough to anything that would make them work. Get your mate or Mrs to put there ear to each sensor and you will hear a clicking noise. The one that doesn't click is faulty..PS don't run anyone over Rolling Eyes good luck silverRRS 2.7 TDV6 22"WHEELS FULL COLOUR CODE,STEPS,REMAP..gone

You guys are great!

I'm on a mission this weekend!

I've had the front lights out to fit led side light bulbs so it doesn't seem that much further.

Thank you so much!

Gaz.

How much would I owe you for a sensor?
