I'm a pragmatic sort of bloke so I didn't throw my toys out of the pram and to be honest it still looks the nuts!
But for my inconvenience after deducting the cost of the roof, I got the 5 year service pack thrown in which I thought was rather decent of them.
They did say that they would paint the roof but I didn't want them to. Factory or nothing for me.
Looking forward to Friday now!!

As an aside, does anybody else think the rear brake callipers aren't as 'red' as the front ones ?? ( if you've ordered them )

You are not the first one that has reported their car not matching what was ordered, What gives?

What colour is your car Gavin. If its black, just have the roof wrapped in black gloss 3M.
I had the silver bits wrapped on my black Evoque and it looks the bomb. Plus you can always peel it off if you don't like it. Current...

A few years ago I put SWMBO on my insurance. My premium went up. She put me on hers and her premium went down. Both clean with no claims for at least 5 years. Very odd.

And I laughed like a drain until she gave me "the look"... Rolling with laughter 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Bizarre that the rear calipers do not match the front ones. Different part obviously but both from Brembo so surprising. Time to rattle Pete's cage? Mark

I have also noticed so many reports of wrong deliveries compared to the orders... I don't understand if mistakes are caused by wrong orders instructions placed by dealers or the errors are made in Land Rover production line.

I am worried for my order Neutral

I was so excited when I saw my car I forget to check whether it had the Panoramic Sunroof! Rolling Eyes

I'm praying it will be there. Bow down Bow down Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more... Twisted Evil

My original L405 arrived with Ivory Leather interior rather than the Ebony I ordered!! To be fair to the dealership they put me top of their list for a new Sport (a 5 month wait) with a reasonable discount and gave me back what I paid for my Vogue so I was happy in the end…. 5 months of free motoring in a Vogue and then a discounted Sport seemed a decent enough resolution for a pretty fundamental order cock up.

The dealership had sent the correct order spec to the factory - which they subsequently acknowledged but somewhere along the line it got lost in translation!

Mark,
My car arrived this morning and the tracker guy a few minutes later. After he'd left (3 hours later) I had a good look around the car including the red calipers and my opinion.... the rear calipers look completely alien. They don't even look like they belong on the car.

It would take a lot to convince me that the rears are also made by Brembo. It's almost like the rears were going off to the Vauxhall factory and got diverted to Land Rover followed by a guy who came along and gave it a quick flick with some red spray paint that he'd bought from B&Q.

I can live with it but not impressed at all. Especially when compared to the 911's rear calipers which perfectly match the fronts in terms of finish. Current...

Good Idea. Didn't think of that.
To be honest I dont mind it being the same colour now I've seen it. ( its Corris )
The roof looks like its floating especially with the privacy glass and dark interior.
Thanks for the tip though!

My pleasure. Apparently the number one application for wrapping at the moment seems to be contrast roofs.
When Lloyd was doing my Evoque, a young lad just had his white Golf GTI's roof wrapped in gloss black and it looked stunning. No difference to painting whatsoever appearance wise. Current...

Here's a few pics of the calipers.

First up, the Brembo's. Nice thick red enamel, lovely look and finish just like on my 911.

And here's the second rate rear calipers.

I can see why you guys are disappointed with the rear calipers as they do look a bit DIY thicker enamel would have made all the difference what a shame to spoil it for the sake of adding a couple of pounds to the price. £83000.00 or £83002.00 for a professional finish.
