Would it be possible to semi permanently fix the panel using some automotive grade adhesive such as stixall?. is there a need for the panel to be removable?.

Not sure what I could glue it to - it seems to clip to the rear of the glass panel with felt spacers holding it off the metal bodywork behind. Anyway, a picture...

just did an image search for Range Rover Sport rear trim panel clips, have a look and see if any of them look like your clips. Perhaps they are worn if they keep coming adrift at speed, I have had a similar thing happen with an engine under tray and the only solution was new clips.

I'm not sure if the trim for the later sports is the same as the early ones, but a quick google of range rover sport d pillar trim returns some results if you click on images.

Okay - I have just removed the studs and whole trim and one of the four front tabs (lower middle) that locates under the glass was bent back on itself. I guess this was done when it was built - instead of locating the clips under the glass panel the idiot building it just gave it a hard knock, bending one of the tabs that wasn't aligned properly.

you may find that this will still come away some time in the future. This happened to mine. The 'lug' or clip which is integral to the moulding becomes weaker once bent initially, and then just gets weaker and weaker. Then the other lugs start to bend. The only solution I found was to replace the whole thing with a new one, and luckily I got a new one on ebay for £25 delivered. RR Sport Supercharged Vesuvius Orange 4.2 V8 First edition
