United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Cairns Blue

The only time I used epb was on Eurostar with race shuttle on the back. Other than that Park was always good and never created problems 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱
Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜

From new, I used the EPB all the time. I'd apply it at traffic lights and drive off with the auto release and also use it whenever I parked up, again driving off with auto release. Now fair enough, mine was only 2 years into a 3 year new car warranty when I sold it, but there weren't any signs of trouble that I was aware of. As RRSTDV8 says, just use it, as I'd say leaving it unused for long periods of time is going to lead to sticking problems at some point anyway. Smile

One thing I always did though, whenever the weather was bad, I'd always ensure I gave the EPB a good jet spray when I washed the car, just to blast out any of the crap that may have built up in there. Thumbs Up

OT, but one of the things I want to get 'coded' on my BM is the auto release function, it's amazing how annoying not having it is once you've got used to it. Embarassed ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Rather than going to The trouble of getting your BM coded would it not be easier just to go and buy another RRS? Very Happy

Rolling with laughter ...... not just at the moment, maybe one day Wink
I like the idea that when I go out and get in it that it just 'works' and I don't have to live with its 'characteristics' unlike my RRS Ner Ner ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

.....but that's why they invented run-flats. I can drive to the garage at my leisure and get a monkey to change it for me, none of this getting dirty at the side of the road malarkey, or the sheer dispare of when I go to change it finding that some scrote has already helped themselves to it Laughing ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Yes you are absolutely right BC and those runflats give such a smooth comfortable ride as well ...........NOT ! Rolling with laughter Seriously though having had experience with them myself i would warn you NEVER drive over the recommended 50 mph with a puncture because the car will be all over the road . Thumbs Up

Screaming like a pig

Thanks for all your comments about how to use the EPB. Been using EPB for 5 days now, went out for a drive tonight, the noise was horrendous, I stopped to have a look under the car, nothing there, drove 1/2 mile and still making a noise, put EPB back on and drove a bit more, same noise, turned round went home, reversed onto the drive and the noise went !!! Set off and no further noise. Would you say this is the EBP that proberly hasn't been used and has just stuck on a little, and will free up, should I return the car to the Dealer or just wait and see if it happens again. MY 13 3.0 SDV6 HSE Black Edition

I forgot to say that a couple of weeks ago i went on a Landrover Experience and the instructor got me to 50mph on a rural road and said he would demonstrate how the EPD can be used by the passenger for an emergency stop if for instance the driver was having a heart attack ! So anyway he flicked it on while i was driving at 50mph and brilliantly it brought the rrs to a rapid but totally controlled stop , which i thought was pretty amazing . I would add it was their car not mine . Very Happy
