I have a 'power saver' unit for a Black view and I'm thinking I might use the same feeds and invest and install a simple digital voltmeter somewhere discrete then at least IF (or when!!) anything strange happens it could give an instant insight to the cause ! |

That's what I paid including VAT on my old Disco approx 12 months ago. OEM Denso unit, so a proper job. Would have thought its very similar, unless the sc's have something trick ? |

Flydive, thats good to know for future reference. Havin only owned it for 6 weeks i havnt quite learnt all the nifty tips an tricks yet....the £700 price tag is what they charged for a diesel sport, not sure which one, so he was just warning me....ive done a little research and there does seem to be some people out there who have had similar charges....im goin to ask for the details of the Alt if they try to over charge |

I just changed mates V6 alternator, about an hour start to finish and £220 inc vat for denso unit from euro car parts. Only thing you need is a 36mm spanner over and above normal socket set. can't believe V8 will be much different 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
