I had diff oils done at LR dealership and it wasn't expensive in the scheme of things. Of course, I ended up with a new rear diff a few months later but I'm not commenting on whether the two are related...

I am having it done at an Indie garage, expect about 1500 all in, but its money well spent, no point in scrimping when it comes to maintenance. would be interested to find out what other folk have paid for the double flush filters etc for the gear box.

My gearbox oil change was done at an indie and cost about £190 incl. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Not sure - I'd need to dig out the invoice to see how much oil was included. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

The gearbox holds 11 litres of oil. And the oil is not cheap Either you only had a few litres changed, or they used the wrong oil Double flushing also only replaces around half of the old gearbox oil... What you really need, is a power flush, which replaces ALL of the oil |

Probably a basic oil change then. I know the pan/filter was cheap on the invoice and his hourly rate was low too.
