What to have the suspension set on??

May be a stupid question, just brought a RRS 55 plate HSE and i saw there a set ride height, being young i love the look of it when lowered but wasnt sure if this is safe and ok for driving, its currently set at normal at the moment... silly question probably Neutral

Access and offroad suspension height settings automatically reset to normal once you cross and stay above a certain speed threshold. Even if it didn't reset, driving at access height for a prolonged period would give you a bumpy ride and ruin the suspension. Not something the RRS was built for.

simple solution, go for a set of 22s! you can get the suspension reset to ride lower but I stayed away from that option as the normal road height is good for driving and ground clearance. TDV8 Java Black, Overfinch 22s

22s on a 2005 TDV6 will possibly shaft the steering rack. LR brought out a revised rack to cope with the move to 20in rims from the smaller sizes. It was fitted as standard on those vehicles delivered with 20s from the factory.

If you want to fill the rims go for 19s with 55 aspect ratio tyres. They're bigger overall than the rubber band tyres on bigger rims and they make the RRS look purposeful rather than pimp. Thumbs Up

If you must go for a lower ride height then use either lowering links or an EAS module to set the height and then get the alignment done to ensure the toe settings etc. are still ok 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Sorry for the bad advice there, learn something new all the time, least I was right on the ride height! Smile TDV8 Java Black, Overfinch 22s
