England 2008 Range Rover Sport Supercharged HST Santorini Black
Problem with TDV6.

After several years of RRS owning and being a member of this forum, due to personal reasons I have had to sell my beloved HST Supercharge and buy a discovery (I know, wash my mouth out).

Anyway on the way back the following happened.

I have put it on the Disco3 site but haven't got any real answers.

I presume that the RRS shares the same TDV6 engine.

I know that some will say it served me right for changing Sad

Thanks.

On the way home we went through torrential rain, the engine went into limp mode and the following lights came on:

Suspension system
Brake systems
Dynamic stability control

We turned the engine off for ten minutes and on start up all the lights went out and we managed to get home okay.

Then this morning when I went to move it on the drive, I noticed that the yellow/orange engine light stayed on (not the one with the exclamation mark).

The book says "Reduced Engine Performance". 2008 Black Range Rover Sports HST, 4.2 Supercharged.

RAM Cobra, Aluminium body, 7 litres and +500 BHP - SOLD

One of the EGR valves are stuck Thumbs Up

Fine to drive til you get it sortedor the codes read to confirm, but if you notice it's very low on power and kicks in at 2000rpm, then it's EGR. You can temporary blank them with 2p pieces if you get proper stuck. Bodsys Brake Bible

4.2SC -> 2.7 TD = 'reduced engine performance' indeed.

but honestly, do you know if the alternator has already been replaced?
it could be on the way out if it is the original one.

P.s. don't forget to change your signature.
