Discussions with other owners and an engineer we reckon the issue is not weather but flexing coupled with weakness caused by door/windows/fridge vents Rolling Eyes

Elddis have finally agreed to carry out repair under warranty Very Happy

Will be collected and returned to factory for replacement windows and aluminium skin - most importantly though they will be strengthening around openings which confirms the general opinion Rolling Eyes

Expressed my concern that with issues so early on and the slow response to my claim my confidence is rock bottom but they assure me it will be like new and still have another 3 year warranty left Confused

We will see Whistle Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Don't get me started - on Sunday I was towing and got stuck all the way from York to Driffield because 2 car drivers were enjoying the scenery at around 40mph Shocked

MY FATHER IN LAWS MOBILITY SCOOTER COULD HAVE GONE FASTER Evil or Very Mad

Being restricted to 50 I couldn't overtake without exceeded the speed limit so ended up chewing the steering wheel to stifle my screams until I could take it no more - wish I had a rear camera - SWMBO said the drivers were shaking their heads at the idiot overtaking with a caravan but I was losing the will to live Twisted Evil

Prior to York I met a Defender coming the other way on a back road with a flatbed trailer piled high with round bails - he would have needed 3 foot wide extended mirrors to see round trailer but as he had no number plate either on the trailer he was safe from prosecution Rolling Eyes Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Still waiting for confirmation of collection date in January - since September Shocked

Windows started leaking in September and roof started leaking in October - been back to dealers for a week but elddis sent wrong windows - twice so dealer has given up and silicones everything saying factory can sort it in January Rolling Eyes

Been posting with others on caravantalk that we are unhappy but admin have locked our threads so no longer able to discuss Evil or Very Mad

Can not believe a caravan costing £22k 3 years ago is dropping to bits already and elddis attitude - been looking at replacements but as Lr only like their models and mine is now scrap value Big Cry

Thinking of selling everything and living in a cave to get away from it all Whistle Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

I'd be very careful choosing your cave Muddy, they suffer from leaks when it rains and quite often flood. Laughing

Been waiting since July 2013 for warranty repair and since September 2013 for confirmation of collection date despite asking for this information numerous times Evil or Very Mad

Sent a letter under Sale of Goods Act last week to dealer demanding repair or replacement with 7 days to respond - RESULT Twisted Evil - caravan collected this week and now on way to factory for repair at last but unlikely to be back for half term so there goes my first trip away this year but at least it is getting repaired now - 7 Censored months battling is taking the mick Rolling Eyes

I know at least 20 owners on CaravanTalk with similar problem but most have been denied warranty repair - potholes blamed in general Shocked Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Tell me about it - I've also been told that the repair may not sort the problem and it can return in the future due to being design flaw so really need to consider selling after fixed losing loads of money Big Cry

SWMBO has decided the only replacement she likes is another Elddis and will cost about £15k to change from a 3 year old to new and be giving more money to the same crooks Evil or Very Mad

I have tried to convince her she's mad but she just reminds me I keep buying LR's after all the trouble I've had Embarassed Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

It would be one of the new Solid construction but already seeing problems on CaravanTalk with them - particularly rear panels cracking and owners fighting for repair Evil or Very Mad

It now appears that despite body having 10 year warranty the rear panel is only guaranteed for 12 months Shocked Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW
