MY10 RRS Drivers Seat Moves/creaks

HI All,

Can I start by saying I love the Sport. I bought a new MY10 at the start of last year but I am at my wits end with a drivers seat that moves and creaks non stop. I have had two brakets replaced = not fixed. At least 6 visits to servie dept = not fixed. I am now at a point where I can't drive it and Land Rover dont have an anwser. Surley someone else has had this problem and had it fixed. It cant be rocket science!!!! Please guys I am desperate for a solution and beyond a joke Censored off.

PLEASE HELP Big Cry

there is a known fix for it , so the dealer should know about it, mine did the same (my10), i think it is one of the cables under the seat that gets tightened (mine had 2/3mm play when braking)
cheers

Thanks Dave your a lad. Its been an absolute nightmare trying to get a fix for this as the dealer has no idea. The sport has been undriveable.

So just to confirm that once this upgrade is done its smooth sailing?

Had the same problem with mine earlier this year and as you state there's a known fix which once done cures the unwanted seat movement.

Mine has been fine in the last few months since getting it done (should also consider losing a couple of my, ahem...18 stones!)
Cheers

Looks like it is not as permanent as first thought! Once the cable stretches again, it looks like another 13 turns!!

Thanks Guys

Thanks guys for the help. I rang my sercie guys and told them I had found a solution to the problem because they couldnt and they didnt take it very well. Appears to be a serious problem with Land Rover Global and the communication of service and repair updates as it was news to them.

Fingers crossed it works.
