Hi all, hopefully someone can help me. I drove through a huge puddle on the road yesterday, I was doing about 30 to 40, unfortunatly I couldn't avoid as someone was over taking me at time, and since then there has been a grinding feeling through the peddles. It feels more on the front left as when i turn left therre is deffentily more of a vibration.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

could it be that the wet caused the breaks to contract from being hot, or youve picked up a stone in between the disc and break caliper.

Yes I am hoping its breaks related. Just took it for a drive and I have the front breaks are slightly locked on as when I take my foot off the gas the the car seems to slow down quicker than normal.......or is that wishful thinking.
I will take it round to my friends tomorrow as he is realy good with cars and see what he thinks, ta again.

Firstly, the word is "brakes" not "breaks".

Secondly, a grinding noise might be caused by some waterborne debris between the pads and disc or between tyre and arch. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Hi, found the issue. I jacked the car up today and found passenger side wheel bearing has gone. At least I know what it is now, hope my spelling is ok !!! 2017 Range Rover Sport HSE

Cubby how deep was the puddle Water can wash grease out of the bearings but I assume it was on its way out anyway.

It wasn't really just a puddle, was flooding at the side if the road, kerb stone. I wasn't aware of any noise beforehand but yes was probably on the way out.
Was checking on ebay and you can get the bearings starting at £50 but I am a bit suspect of ones so cheap.
I called Euro Car Parts and they do them from £140, suppose just need to take the hit on them for safety etc.

Try and get original if your budget will allow bud

Also try the site sponser on here for the bearings.

I would buy the best you can for the sport but I put the cheapest possible in my enduro bikes I do a lot of events/rides involving river crossing, hence why I found out about water killing bearings
