Just started the car and when pressing the EPB it made a right old racket and now i have parking brake on and fault light, after looking on the site I have tried to lift up the wire cable for an emergency release but its still the same.Cable comes up but brake still on.

Don't use it until you've got it adjusted properly otherwise you'll definately trash it.

Use the car by all means, but just don't use the epb. The auto box in park will easily stop the car from moving anywhere. Bodsys Brake Bible
