United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black
Multiple Failures

Hi All,

Some words of advice/wisdom required as have never seen these before....
Firstly, over the last couple of weeks have been getting HDC fault warning every time the car is started, then lately, this is now accompanied by a Transmission fault warning.

Today, after finding that i now have a puncture on one of the Scorpions, I tried raising and lowering the suspension a few times to see if this made any difference to the errors showing...... only to have a new error show up stating " Warning" suspension raising slowly.
This was something of an understatement, after selecting raised suspension the rear shoots up making the car look like some weird hot rod while the front raised up at a rate of 1mm every 2mins.

So, after 2 years of totally worry free motoring and a car that has exceeded every expectation, i now have multiple errors and faults to deal with.

Do you guys have any advice on the above or things to look for before its sent of to the garage for the inevitable huge invoice.?????

Regards 2005 Rang Rover Supercharged
Loving every minute !

Spain

See battery; HDC failure (and many others) when start, is frequently a battery issue. May be, you have to change just for a new battery. Thumbs Up Yuri

The HDC fault was on mine when I had my recent battery issues. Didn't try to lower or raise the suspension so can't comment on that bit. My bet would be a new battery will fix everything.

Also, check that the brake bulbs are ok. A blown brake bulb has been known to throw up a HDC fault as the system will activate the brake lights when in use.

Other than that, check the battery before and after engine start. Ensure the alternator is working well.

The slow suspension rise at the front is likely to be the compressor feeling weak. A new compressor might be required. Alternatively it could be the valve block next to the compressor. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
