2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Zermatt Silver

Gearbox filter change on a TDV8 2008.

I recently bought a filter kit and oil and have had a an issue with the new gasket supplied with the kit. The kit is a genuine ZF kit which includes a new pan, gasket, filter and fixing bolts. My problem has been the new bolts appear to be tool long by about 2\3 threads and will not allow the new gasket to seat tight enough and so have had a leak. The new pan supplied is different to the original. Has anyone had a similar problem?

Is the kit the one with metal pan and separate filter to replace your original plastic pan with integral filter? If so, you will find loads of informative posts on this conversion over on the Disco3 site. IIRC the kits are designed for BMWs hence there are differences in the bolt length. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE
