Had mine for 3 months now and loving it ! If it's the right car for you, colour model etc then go for it. You will always hear horror stories it's a dedicated site to one model after all, you'll get them on other sites just the same for other makes.

had a tdv8 for 60k miles and it was great, nothing fell off and it never stopped --- apart from reflashing the ecu at delivery mileage and a full set of warning lights when I got a flat tyre...it was great for reliability

Had mine for close to a year, 57TDV8 with now 51k miles, new alternator, new compressor, new front OS wheel bearing, water leak fixed + new header tank, other than that runs like a dream lol. Used Guava in Guildford and great service, but might invest in a warranty next year... Or swap it for a Defender! 2010 TDV8... |

Had mine for nearly 4 years now - Im the 2nd owner and its coming up for 7 years old. Apart from the usual ARB bushes, suspensions niggles and alternator it has been a surprisingly reliable car, compared to others. They are obviously expensive to run when you look at comparative road tax, insurance and fuel costs, but as a long distance cruiser (which is what mine primarily gets used for) it has been superb.

one thing to look out for is excessive smoke on cold mornings from the pre heat, I had a tdv8 and it looked like the bloody thing was on fire, took it to dealers but all they suggested was remove the fuse or live with it, I'm sure there was a cure out there, but part ex the tdv8 for a s/s love the car, it was not the only reason I part ex but was a major factor |
