I must admit, unless you want the Porsche badge, I'd say the SQ5 is probably the thinking mans Macan. ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Why? The Macan will probably be the better steer on road and will be no worse than the Audi in off road type conditions (they'll both be limited by the summer low profile tyres they'll doubtless be wearing 24/365). 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Your guessing right Question
I would wait until i'd test driven them both before commenting on what, if's and maybe. Not all 4wd's are designed to do extreme off roading like the L/R product, excluding the 2WD Evogue.
