I've only had mine a few weeks and don't use half the power it has, for me it's a big cruising machine not a sports car. |

second that i hardly ever put my foot down, if i wanted a sports car i would have bought a ferrari instead BUT, there is that mpg statistic that I want to improve upon...currently at ~ 28 Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project. DONE: Meduza front bumper, AB rear bumper, AB tailpipes, calipers repainted, rear upper tailgate upgrade, side steps, AB front grille, AB side vents, rear LED lights, clear side repeaters, integrated daytime running lights, LED headlights. TO DO: color code sills and pillars. |

True but I've already had the full fat that's rolls about in the corners... Tbh tho I do miss the luxury of the full fat. And I picked the v8 just for the sound! |

Lol the conclusion is??? Remap or dont touch?? I need some feed back from people with personal experience, am not thinking of remap for the sake of having a sporty ish lol for that i have my cls amg bi-turbo 63 but if it dont do no harm to the tdv8 then why not have it done. But if it does then simply wont bother, i doubt anyone would use a rrs for racing as in my opinion they r for cruising but a bit of nippynes wont hurt anyone... |

I'm confused. You have remapped your TDV8 and it's lunched a turbo or two and now you're asking whether to remap it? Am I missing something here?

I had my RRS TDV8 remapped but i will say it was for increased MPG first and foremost and the extra performance was a bonus and there was quite a bit too. I was told by Dynochip who did mine that there are may people out there that don't really no what they are doing when it comes to remapping and just put a really aggressive map in that just pours fuel in to give it a big punch of power. This i was told is a problem and causes mechanical issues . Dynochip showed me the map and its characteristics before the download, he also explained why his map was like it is and invited me to watch the install . The end result is a real smooth pull heaps of torque and all the extra fuel is progressively added from just under 40% throttle . Basically if i want to boot it i have the extra power but for normal driving i have gone from 22 MPG to 25-26 MPG For me this is everything i wanted and more.

I had mine remapped, my first run on the motorway resulted in it going into limp mode, I drove it back to the garage and they changed the map to a another version, this result was that my mpg went down, loads of black smoke came out the back and they car just felt wrong, so I went back the next day, got my orginal map put back on and got a refund. He was a trusted local one man company, nothing like dynochip 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater ))) |

You must be pulling 270 BHP as standard....can't be a sluggish! I was born with a photographic memory. Shame it didn't develop!
