fitted mine myself, excellent installation and only £212.79 including power magic, bought on disco3 group buy

only been replaced the once due to freezing and not recording and now sending back the power magic as that turns itself off all the time, even when the car is on charge, so its either fault volt meter or timer

My powersaver shuts down BV when heated seats and/or FBH on. Also had problems with BV crashing and had to restart - now have to check all lights are normal before driving off to be sure

i must admit the excellent installation was done and the 4 revisits to swap the fuse i was piggy backing off were not mentioned, i looked and found the "right fuse" only to be told it switched off after X time, did that 3 times

should have done my homework first, 5 minutes searching would have saved that

I bought BV 500 + Power Magic + 2 holders + 2 power leads for £229.99 in July from Ian's private sale on Disco 3 (user hids4u). Excellent service

Followed MW's DIY guide. No issues so far since I eventually successfully installed it. The only niggle is it doesn't seem to remember that it is configured not to record audio. I have to manually switch off audio recording everytime it restarts following power saver shutdown.

Yes Peachy. Saving and then restarting the camera as the manual says. It remembers all other settings. Even the audio recording setting says "off" but it still records it. Upgrading firmware didn't help either

At least turning it of manually is just a matter of waving finger close to the sensor.

What's the general consensus then.. Are these worth while?

I bought mine as they were highly recommended on disco and here but not having used any others not sure if they are the best.
