Just bought 2007 2.7tdv6
There seems to be a quite loud rubble resenting noise
When foot lifted off acceleration from 60 to 40
Anyone had this or come across this fault

Wheel bearing or front diff

Sounds like wheel bearing. Noise usually comes in at circa40mph but should be heard whilst driving, it normally just becomes more prominent when you lift off.

Does it make a noise similar to a flat tyre; sort of 'wup wup wup' ? That was the sound my front diff was making and it stopped when I replaced it.

Only did it on over-run slowing down from 60 ish e.g on off ramp from motorway. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

How much did it cost you ?

OK brace yourself: diff LLR006011 and oil LTYK500010 two litres was £763 from Duckworths and fitting by my trusty indi was 5 hours labour £348 (all prices include VAT).

There was a refundable surcharge on the diff which was £100 returned when I sent the old diff back as these are remanufactured units. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Only bought car in Friday and just been out and suspension lights now come on and passenger rear very low
So will be ringing them up in morning
