A tip for getting a bit more off, if the one owner is the company,any funds brought in will be seen as profit in they eyes of HMRC, the car will have been written off to zero balance on the books so they will pay approx 25% in corporation tax, so offer folding cash for a good few £k off. I of course wouldn't condone such action, but you never know your luck

Were you going down the codfather's route you'd need to pay in sufficient to meet the 'book' value; then the profit might be held as cash, in the company - if its your company, of course because otherwise it would be theft /embezzlement /fraud etc

Sorry guys, my point was make a cheeky offer for cash, what he does with it is up to him, if he deposits £10k in the bank and trousers the rest that is of no consequence to the purchaser - I have bought a couple of ex company cars in the past using that knowledge , and it usually works!
Ok someone might offer him the full value in cash, if it is such a bargain anyway!

it went for £15950, I rang the guy first thing this morning as last night was a bit late.
He sold it after 1 hour on e bay.
