FUZE for trailer/caravan problem

I have a 2009 Sport. I have been having problems with the car battery running to flat when parked up for a couple of days with the caravan electrics attached. In boot there is the small 'bank' of fuzes relating to the toe connections - I presume if I take out the fuze that is the live 'battery connection' there is not possibility of the caravan being able to take power from the car battery? Or am I missing some thing! Andrew Kennedy

Does your caravan not have a selector switch? To use the onboard caravan battery or car battery?

You have a fault somewhere in your charging system for caravan or white plug. There is a relay that prevents power going to caravan unless there is over 13 volts in car system ie when it's running. If you run your fridge on gas, you will greatly reduce the drain if you have to leave the connected over night. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

There is a permanent (not relay switched) feed to the tow electrics - removing the fuse could help you track down the issue but you should fix the reason for the drain rather than use that as a permanent solution Smile Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support!

There are both a permanent and switched 12V supply. Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support!
