Difference between SE and HSE 59' model new shape onwards

Evening guys

Looking at the newer 59' shape RRS what are the differences between the SE and HSE? Are they major differences in spec?

Thanks

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Santorini Black

Hiya Sammy, a few differences if i remember correctly, (but i'm sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong) The SE model didn't come with heated rear seats, it didn't come with sat nav, and it came with 19" wheels instead of 20's. I'm sure there are a few other differences and i'm sure someone else with more knowledge than me will be along soon to comment. Thumbs Up

Although they are identical mechanically, you don't get the dynamic setting on the SE, never tried it so can't comment if it is any good(think you have to re select it once the engine is switched off)
You also get standard leather over the HSEs grained leather.you do get the satnav as standard, although as Ady says no heated rear seats (I don't sit in the back no not a problem.)I added the flappy paddle gear change and mood lighting to mine, and I dare say most first owners would have specced these anyway.i also bought 20"wheels from a third party rather than land rover and saved £2k by doing that.
I now do quite a bit of towing with mine, so yes the rear camera would be handy ,but not fussed about front sensors (SE has rears only) as the car is really easy to park anyway,or the keyless entry

Cheers

Thanks very much guys.

Not loads of difference really. Although a rear view cam I thought came as standard on every rrs?

Interesting that the SE doesn't come with metallic paint?

Silly question - but how does the parking grid lines in reversing cam work? Do you follow the yellow grid lines as your guide into the parking space?

I just use my mirrors, i never use the camera for reversing. The only time i use it is when i first select reverse to see if there is any objects or little children behind me before i reverse. The yellow lines can be a bit misleading.

So on the SE model there is no rear view cam or parking aid. Although most people would have added this on?

So on the HSE it's just a standard rear view cam with solid lines unless someone has spec'd the surround cam?

Is it easy enough to retro fit a reversing cam to the SE model?

Another question... i see a lot of these models come with the cold climate pack. What's included in this?

Not sure whether it comes with auto dip mirrors, although I do know that folding mirrors were an optional extra on the SE model. 2014 L405 SDV8 RR Autobiography Cool

think it was heated front screen, heated washer jets, heated front seats and the pre heater under the bonnet that helps heat the engine/heating system quicker.

the SE doesnt have Auto folding or auto dipping mirrors as standard, i didnt spec those, as i found the dipping very distracting in previous cars, especially if you need them to reverse down a lane etc

cheers

I think i am coming to the conclusion that maybe paying the extra for the HSE is better and also for future value.

Currently SE are available from £26k and HSE £29k 59 plate. What do you guys reckon to the prices for these next March when the new reg comes out. £3k drop on each? Question
