What mpg can be expected at a nice 65mph motorway cruise?

65mph on the motorway? I don't know about mileage but you'd certainly get plenty of derision! Rolling with laughter 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Another useless post Laughing

I'd rather her drive at 65mph then be outside her comfort zone. Also to be fair I only cruise along at 70 (so what's the mpg at 70 if that makes you feel better).

Anyway only idiots speed on motorways!!!

No, idiots speed in built up areas. Motorways are our safest roads even though a large percentage of vehicles are travelling at significantly greater than the legal speed limit. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Speeding on the motorway is stupid, the police can catch you before you have even seen them. I for one value my passengers safety so therefore stick to the speed limits.

Just because a large percentage of vehicles do it doesn't make it right.

Your first two sentences are non sequitors. Whether the police can catch you has no bearing on passenger safety. Indeed, sticking to the speed limit has nothing to do with passenger safety either. Driving to the conditions is how you protect passenger safety. But that's a whole different discussion... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

They are both facts and never said they had any relation to each other.

Excess speed in a crash will have an impact on your passengers safety.

The police can catch you before you have seen them so therefore its stupid to speed on a motorway.

Sorry for the high jack.

Ill have to agree to disagree with this guy Rolling with laughter
