I have got one too, on the drivers side? The connected plug appears to have 2 terminated wires in it as though it is meant as a blank. Cant see where its supposed to go? wondered if it was maybe a brake pad wear connector?

Found a similar thing behind a headlight and posted a similar question. Disco Mikey ID'd it as an unused part of the loom for TPMS.

That could be it ,Mine has 2 very short pieces of wire fitted into the plug (as though they have been cut off next to the connector). Maybe a wireless aerial for the TPMS

Look at the rear wheel arch liner; there are two holes about halfway up the rear side. The 'fir tree' lug on the connector should be plugged in to either one of the holes from the outside of the liner. No idea what the other hole is for though 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE |

Yep, that's right Muddy. I had the same thing with my 09, it fell down after a dirt road (winery) trip. I stuck it back in the rear wheel arch housing and it didn't drop down again. I may have helped it with a little tape if I remember. |
