Front suspension arms

Just got my RRS back from the dealer after complaining about knocking noise, and have been told that my front lower suspension arms are worn and need replacing.

So will be looking to get it replaced ASAP. Can anyone advise what else I should replace whilst its in for suspension arms?

Thanks 2014 L405 SDV8 RR Autobiography Cool

I would do the whole lot....

ARB Bushes, Inner & Outer Track Rods & ARB Stabiliser Links

It will feel much better for the set. Paul Redding

Thanks for the reply.

Sounds expensive! How much extra am I looking at?

I have always tended to stick with genuine LR parts. Are the aftermarket ones any good or better?.

Also forgot to mention that my RRS has dynamic response, not sure whether that makes any difference. 2014 L405 SDV8 RR Autobiography Cool

Sounds good.

Did you just replace the front arms or was there any additional work carried out? 2014 L405 SDV8 RR Autobiography Cool

I take it that has pretty much eliminated the knocking noise? 2014 L405 SDV8 RR Autobiography Cool

I found that new ARB bushes cured the knock from my suspension. I had the front arms done recently as one was apparently showing signs of excessive wear. LR garage asked me why I was changing both sides when only one side was showing the wear. Seemed a bit confused that one might do both whilst doing one. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Front lower arms are a doddle to do, if you go into the job knowing the bolts will need cut out, and you possess a 9" grinder Thumbs Up

If you go in expecting everything to be free and easy, you will be massively dissapointed Laughing

If you have access to said big grinder, the arms take around an hour to get off, and same again to refit. Also, best to allow for a wheel alignment ASAP afterwards

Local LR dealer that did mine said that an alignment wasn't usually necessary! I told him to do it anyway "just in case". 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Don't worry, I won't be doing the work. I have booked it in with yourselves at Strathearn, so hopefully it won't give you too much trouble. 2014 L405 SDV8 RR Autobiography Cool
