Strange indeed, and certainly not the norm. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

I've just taken it out for a quick drive again now, and it is still doing it, albeit very gently - If you just slightly depress the accelerator it stops doing it, as well as if you knock it into Neutral. How can I check whether the gearbox software needs updating? Gary RRS 2006 4.2 V8 Supercharged Bonnati Grey - Full Overfinch Supersports Kit |

Does the rev counter show any movement? Almost sounds like the gearbox changing gear on a trailing throttle...

@ RRSTDV8: No movement on the rev counter no (unless it's that small it isn't registering - it is only slight but I can notice it now). It's not changing up and down hunting for a gear. I only bought the car a few days ago so not aware of any gearbox oil change - I was lead to believe these were 'lifetime' items though I'm not sure they should be..!

Could be a torque converter getting tired or a problem with the lock-up clutch perhaps.

Having the gearbox reset from adaptive would be my first step to see if that cures it.. as you have said you have only had a short while and the old owners driving habits will still be logged..

Think I agree with the suggestions about a possible TC problem and the first step to try is clearing the gearbox adaptations. Here's what the IID Tool manual has to say about the latter:

I need to do that. Previous owner of the barge must have driven everywhere in Daisy mode and gear changes are way off where I would like plus incredibly slow to react when approaching junction or roundabout. My guess is kick down never been used and manual changes are order of the day 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
