Please could anyone help with the following codes p0504 and p0157. Also my supension lights are lit and parking amber light is on. I have just had a new compressor fitted. Though not the new soft ware. Do I need it? Also fitted a new battery. Do I need to do a hard reset? How is this done? Many thanks.

I've found that the vehicle records lots of fault codes as it goes along. Whether the fault codes are part of a problem with the suspension probably needs a chat with a LR garage.

Have you checked your tail light bulbs, particularly the brake lights? It's not unknown for a blown bulb to throw a raft of errors... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I see you've asked about tail light bulbs in another thread. Had one blown and has replacing it sorted your other issues? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Those codes are must have been read with a basic code reader as the sophisticated models will read a further two digits that are Land Rover specific.

P0504 is 'brake switch A/B correlation' - may be worth changing the brake light switch as it is a common source of many faults. Easy DIY and switch costs about £17

P0157 is 'O2 sensor circuit low voltage bank 2 sensor 2' I'd try clearing that one and see if it reoccurs before going any further

The new compressor software is recommended and any good independent LR specialist can install it for you.

Is your new battery LR supplied or generic? Give it a good full charge with a smart charger.

For a hard reset just disconnect both battery leads and connect them together for 30 seconds with a jump lead. But be very careful to ensure nothing touches the battery terminals. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE
