You run budget tyres on a 2012 RRS? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

When I bought my RRS it had Durun tyres on it. The front two needed replacing and I kept the same make. £80 each. On my 911 I'll always have better tyres and over 10 years I've tried them all, Michelin, Pirelli and contis but the best we're toyo proxies. However on a range rover what is the point, it's not a performance car you are asking on the track and the tyres stop great in the wet and grip is fine. |

I'd still be sticking with mid-range at least. If nothing else it would be like wearing an Armani suit with asda trainers. 07 TDV6 HSE in Stornoway Grey, 20" alloys |08 XF SV8 on order. |

Well for one thing, it weighs 2.5+ tonnes and can do 130mph if required. Getting that much mass around a corner requires a lot of the tyres as does braking. You'll find that market leading tyres will stop you several metres earlier in an emergency stop. Enough to be the difference between a shunt and a mere brown-trouser moment. What Durun tyre are you running and what size? Their range shown on their website doesn't appear to have a tyre suitable for an RRS. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

Thanks for the input guys. Think I will get myself a set of Toyos. They seem pretty good value for money.
