2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Santorini Black

New 22" tyres

Hi guys, im looking to purchase some new tyres as I have a slow puncture in one. Currently running budget Delinte tyres (2 months old) and can't decide if i should stick with and replace the punctured tyre or go for 4 new tyres.

Has anyone tried Yokohama Parada spec-x, Toyo Proxes ST or Kumho Ecsta X3? Or any other tyre you'd recommend?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Toyo proxies or Pirelli scorpion

Toyos are very good value and hard wearing

You run budget tyres on a 2012 RRS?

2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

When I bought my RRS it had Durun tyres on it. The front two needed replacing and I kept the same make. £80 each. On my 911 I'll always have better tyres and over 10 years I've tried them all, Michelin, Pirelli and contis but the best we're toyo proxies. However on a range rover what is the point, it's not a performance car you are asking on the track and the tyres stop great in the wet and grip is fine.

Well for one thing, it weighs 2.5+ tonnes and can do 130mph if required. Getting that much mass around a corner requires a lot of the tyres as does braking.

You'll find that market leading tyres will stop you several metres earlier in an emergency stop. Enough to be the difference between a shunt and a mere brown-trouser moment.

What Durun tyre are you running and what size? Their range shown on their website doesn't appear to have a tyre suitable for an RRS. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Thanks for the input guys. Think I will get myself a set of Toyos. They seem pretty good value for money.

The budget tyres I have came with the car when I bought it. Although they may be fine, I always prefer a decent set of tyres regardless of what car. After all, it's what keeps you on the road. Monster Unit
