installing a new seats leather set / perforated black

hello all a few questions, I bought this set.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Range-Rover-Spor...7938813617

1/ I have a wheel to adjust lumbar, do you think the seat is set up with a hole as it is a much newer model
2/ does the rear headrest are different than front ones? it seems i am not finding rear ones as easy? or do you know where? (need perforated black)
3/ I was quote such a low fee to install this set that i wander now if it can really be done, how long will you estimate the job, updating textile seat to leather ones, using eom LR leather? tdv6s 2.7 2007

1. On my RRS there is a electrically operated switch rather than a wheel, i would imagine the newer ones would be the same.

2. As far as i know the rear headrests are not easy to remove hence the lack of them for sale.

3. No idea.

Thank you JasM,

I think so too, the workshop will probably work out a solution.

2/ yes they are stitched.

Not sure if this upholstery shop will be able to reproduce the exact pattern of these perforated black ones.
I looked at bi color interior and i almost found this combination so i am more confident about it and i like a lot this style of these seats, it was removed from an excellent range. To get them i needed to spend like 12k more originally set in a newer car.
I will keep you update and will be posting photos when I am done. tdv6s 2.7 2007

A member on here (X5pea) managed to fit 2010+ leather Seat covers in his 2007 HSE which previously already had leather.

More info here:

I would also consider having heated seats retrofitted, they are a great feature for those cold days. 2014 L405 SDV8 RR Autobiography Cool

Thanks a lot JasM,

I looked at it and searched for the price he paid but he did not responded to that question, anyway, good to see in advance i may have a few hicks with different seat shape, the guy at the workshop seems definitely in a harder track... they quoted me 50 euros to fit those, well i did not want say anything and i am ready to pay more of course. But it does not sounds that easy, or that fast to do. But it definitely worth it. I am planning to trade it in a year with a low mileage so i can get a better one, this will help me for the trade even with a yellow trim color around. tdv6s 2.7 2007

I will show the thread image to the upholstery person so maybe we may let the actual textile seat and recover them with the leather to fit any gaps... tdv6s 2.7 2007

Thanks Kensta, you got some nice OF wheels, very nice! what are your headlights with led, Overfinch too?
Did you notice a slower truck with such big wheels? maybe a bit less power? do you have a remap? its maybe not a 2.7 liter like mine...

Re the center console you probably got a matching color, my car trim is beige / alpaca? and my new seat are black that is why i plan in case its odd to have a black lid console and black trim panel added to the main console.

Can I ask if you got the 2 rear headrest in the the set you bought , I don't have them and this will need to be done, I was not quoted for this yet.

don't you have an image? does the front seats looks a bit loose like the other thread or not? like here?
http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/topic27753-15.html

I am planning to let the textile underneath but i am unsure?
sorry for all my questions i am so distracted i want do the things good i already started with the wrong color trim...lol tdv6s 2.7 2007

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

Hey Jags cheers, mines a 2.7 litre too, not sure if it's been remapped but it has got a K&N air filter and blanked EGR valves.

The headlights were done by a guy on eBay I sent them to him, he used to be on here also but hasn't been on for a long time now.

Mine came with the 22"s on, it doesn't struggle with power or speed tho,

Yeah my trim already had the black centre console to match, wud it not be easier for u to get a black console lid for a RRS?i shudnt imagine they be too expensive 2nd hand

My front seats fit fine no slackness

I never got the 2 back headrests aswel but I got my original headrests red double stitched to match the new front and centre rear headrest.

What is your new
trim out of Jagspete? Java black 2006

My trim is yellow / beige and i am going to keep it, changing the whole car will cost me a lot. I may only change the console trim and lid and see. I think it will be fine, yellow door and black seats. My carpet is dark grey though so maybe it be a good match.

Kensta thanks for your help!

I tried to remove my air vent yesterday and i could not. ( a 2007).

I will imagine the engine is noisier with the K & R filter... thanks.

Tell me if you think it will be odd with this color trim...

This is the work shop and they said no problem to make some perforated headrests.

here is the side vents i ordered they are copies but anyway, I fell bad about getting original supercharged ones..on a 2.7...

Here is to get an idea of the pattern beige / black, what do you guys think? I may do the console black I will see when it is done, it be for 9 days Friday the 19th. Job is indeed 300 euros, I confused the person the first time they thought I will just need to install new chairs. I am going to use the Zaino product for leather so the whole car will smell leather like the first days.

My 2007 HSE has them. I know they were standard on HSE models, not sure about others. I'm sure it's possible to retrofit them, check to see if there are any holes or anything that sticks out on the side 2014 L405 SDV8 RR Autobiography Cool
