If thats the reading from the on board fuel computer then its telling porkys reset it and then try it ..or brim to brim fill and that will give you an accurate reading. I would say around 19 to 22 might be more accurate.

Currently doing about 19 mpg solely town driving over the last couple of weeks. I'd expect this to return to mid 20s which is what I consistently get with a good mix or urban and M way.

I know the on board computer is right - but like all good maths, its down to numbers!

I think its wrong unless all your driving is on a motorway at a constant 56 mph. |

There is no way a TDV8 is giving 34mpg. The best I've ever had is 29mpg and that was driving at a fairly constant 50mph on a slow A-road run.

Hi, sorry to hijack this thread but I have a question that is in the same topic. Hope you don't mind? My new to me RRS TDV6 HST was remapped by Landrover (apparently). Questions are: is that even possible that Landrover would remap the car? D they do that? The previous owner told me that it was remapped to a 50/50 split of MPG and power gain rather than 100% power gain or 100% mpg gain. What does that equate to in theory.

To me, that equates that the previous owner is telling you porkies. |

This appears to be a common misconception. You cannot remap a car for economy, it can only be remapped for performance but with additional torque comes the fuel efficiencies (when driven normally and not like you're hair is on fire) |
