Well, this is a big for LPR............

ARB clunk problem - ARB bushes replaced as well as Wishbone bushes.

Slight Wheel Wobble - Stage 1 - All wheels balanced, Stage 2 - New Steering Rack fitted and tracking re done,
Stage 3 - New Steering wheel fitted.
All of these stages were done in order to comply with the TSB until problem cured.

The result is, without exaggeration, like driving a brand new car. Rattle, wobble and clunk free. All completed in 3 days without hassle.

I really cannot praise LPR enough

To top it off, when i got the car home i fitted my new LR mud flaps. I am now one very happy bunny

Tony, your problem is exactley the same as my car has at the moment. Its gone into a dealership for the same work doing on it. Hopefully Ill get it back next week and it will be all fixed. I thought at first it was a brake problem but the said about the recall or bulletitoday. So hopefully it will come back fixed.

I was a bit surprised that a June 2010 car has these problems but at least they were fixed under warranty as the final bill would have been around the £2,500 mark.

I'm 100 percent sure that my 'local' dealer wouldn't have gone the extra mile and actually fixed the problem at the first attempt. That's another reason why I'm so pleased that it was fixed without drama and repeated trips to the dealer.

Fingers crossed that your dealer is as good.

I am interested if others have had this issue recently. I collected (from a main LR dealer) my 25k miler 2010 RRS S/C last week and in the first 50 miles or so, noticed a slight shaking of the wheel which is clearly visible to the eye/felt in the hand, and which occurs around 55-70mph on a variety of road surfaces. It is not noticeably worse when braking, and does not appear to cause the car to deviate off-line, but it tangibly shakes which should not be occuring. This has now remained the case over a further 450 miles at the weekend.

Dealership have been informed and appear appropriately concerned and aware - just keen to know if others have similar recent experiences. If there is any updated technical guidance as well, this would be very helpful knowledge.

on both my sports this was sloved by new brake discs...if they arent fixing it with steering racks etc...check they looked at the discs Mike

2014 Facelift Discovery

On BKHK's RRS (before he was banned) it was a rear differential.

I have had it as well, it can be many things, brakes, tyres, mud, actual wheels out of true, steering rack or a diff problem. It can take some time to fix. Mine was a wheel out of true which is strange since I bought the car new and it has always been babied. LR ended up replacing all 4 wheels and tyres to fix it.

The mud is another good one...thats caused lots of steering issues on land rovers when ive been off roading. Mike

Have steering shimmy as well but Land Rover won't entertain changing the steering rack until I change the Hankook tyres to ones they have recommended. The Hankooks failed the Radial force variation test.

Dealership (Harwoods Croydon) initially diagnosed balancing as the issue, but after this was fixed and further test drives/review, it goes deeper - a new steering rack and I believe elements of the front suspension are required.

They have been very proactive in addressing this, especially given I picked the car up last week and this has occured within 3-4 days of owning it which none of us would have expected. Nonetheless, owning a TVR, I do find this is somewhat ironic! Here's hoping this will fix things without further issue. Maserati MC Stradale 2016
