Canadian Canoe and Bike carrier question

Hi,
Im just purchasing the Genuine LR roof rails and bars for our RRS. The bars I believe are Aero Bars and looking at the Thule website, they only do a Canadian Canoe carrier for the square bars.

Has anyone found a different product or a way around this please?

Im also thinking of buying a Thule rear bike carrier but need a tow bar. What sort do I need to buy (presumably with the electrics) and has anyone got anything suitable for sale please

Regards

with the bike if going on the back you should really have electrics as will need a light and number plate boards as the bikes block out plate and the lights only the dead truely know peace,

Cheers,
I have looked at these but the Canoe must be carried upside down. On the bike front, I will buy a removable tow bar but its quite confusing re the electrics. Does anyone know if the electrics will be visible on the outside when the towbar is removed.

I dont, I mean never will tow a caravan, its purely for the thule bike carrier.

well if it has to be carried upside down just get some pads for the bars , you can buy them for aero bars on ebay pretty cheap and just uses straps to strap it down and your good to go. ?

electrics would be behind the cover you take off when you put your tow bar on , as far as im aware. only the dead truely know peace,

Thought I posted this but cant see it Confused

Towbar here http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic92033.html?highlight=towbar or look on ebay Thumbs Up

I have purchased electrics from ebay before but knowing how temperamental RRS is might be best using LR especially if under warranty Embarassed

I saw the picture of yours and it looks very good. After a weekend away in the Lakes and putting the bike in the back, and especially as we are now keeping the car for another year, I decided to bite the bullit and buy a carrier.

Cant wait to use it. Thumbs Up

Just booked the car in for its 3 year service and at the weekend i will fit the wiring loom for the tow bar. I was hoping that the Dealer would update it for free seeing as its going to be connected to the machine during the service for any software updates but................no, that will be 30 mins labour sir as its not included in the service!.

Im now thinking of taking it elsewhere!!!!! Rolling Eyes
