Is it just me or, when I leave the car, press lock on fob then look through the windows and see the inside door latch move into the locked position and then try the door from the outside to make sure it's locked - the door opens - any assistance would be appreciated? (2007, HSE, RRS)

Common problem. The electrically powered latch mechanism just seems to lose it's mojo. If you are comfortable with DIY then follow the guide on our sister site here:

The new latch used to cost about £40 but think it's just gone up to about double that as another example of LR's 'can't care less' attitude to it's customers. Dealer shouldn't charge you more than 1-2 hours labour as it is not that difficult just a bit fiddly. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

It should be covered. Mine was.

Popping down to my local Harwoods in Hove on Friday - they say it's covered too. Maybe they can fix the sunroof as well when It's with them as well - just stopped working - even the 20 second reset thing - doesn't!!

Visited Harwoods in Hove this morning - they're ordering a new door latch (an intermittent fault) for fitting next week & have reset the sunroof AND after a plug into the 'system' have pointed out the the EGR Valve needs replacing - all under my Extended Warranty. - Well done Harwoods - nice customer service!!
