EGR replacing and balanking

Thanks for the info on my other post got my egrs changed today and the drivers side one, the valve in the end had come out and was laying in the manifold.

Also mechanic had a hell of a job to get them out and had to take turbo pipe off and all inner wheel arch to get at one of the bolts.

My question is can I now put blank plates in and get rid of the butterfly valve in the air duct at top of the engine ???

I have heard that I can't blank them off as it 6 months to new and I will have the EML on again

Any info on this would be great 57 Plate 2.7TDV6 SE Range Rover Sport

I think a LOT of members on here and the Disco 3 forum are waiting for Pete Bell (http://bellautoservices.co.uk) to release his long awaited fix for this, early cars pre 07 can be blanked, however not the 07 on cars. In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

This is not true - as long as the EGRs work electrically and are plugged into the wiring harness (they do not have to be connected to the exhaust), certainly 07MY cars can be blanked and possibly later MYs.
